Lately the Witcher 3 has crashed and won't load. Besides that, other games that launch work fine but the system gets overwhelmed because too many assets are loaded at once. The CPU and GPU usage swings between high and low, reaching 100% then dropping to around 40% while playing. At idle it seems normal. I'll include images when needed. Your setup is a Ryzen 5600x, Radeon 6700xt, 16GB RAM (2x8GB), M.2 SSD, and boot drive.

It's wise to keep an eye on temperatures during gameplay with tools like MSI Afterburner. The system could be overheating. Review CPU-Z to confirm your RAM is operating in dual-channel mode (1x16 or 2x8). The issue seems to stem from CPU limitations, but this setup shouldn't cause throttling. Thermal throttling might be the reason.

Issues with drivers were the cause. I performed a complete reinstall of my CPU and GPU drivers, and they functioned together again. It’s unclear what triggered the corruption, but it likely happened during a game crash. I checked the integrity of the game files and removed the most recent save file from the save folder to restore Witcher. I’m trying to prevent this from happening again. I don’t have internet access at home to assist with this process.
