You're experiencing high RAM and CPU usage while playing GTA, causing performance issues. Your GPU starts lagging and your specs show a strong configuration. Others have reported similar problems. Let me know if you need help troubleshooting or optimizing.
It's not the VRAM being consumed, it's the regular RAM in my computer.
Eek! Sorry it's late... I just repeated the same action on another thread. Anyway, it's well understood that GTA V can experience a RAM leak sometimes, leading to warnings like "running out of system RAM." The suggested solution is to allow Windows to manage the page file size fully. This won't stop the memory leak itself, but it will prevent the game from crashing because of insufficient RAM. It's a temporary fix until a proper patch is released.
8gb is sufficient for this setup. My younger sibling faced the same issue with 8gb, but it stemmed from him thinking he could use Skype, Firefox, and play the game simultaneously. To resolve it, I disabled unused programs such as uTorrent and Origin at startup and ensured GTA was the sole application running.
The memory issue might be causing your GPU to operate at a lower frequency. It remains at 1252MHz even when memory usage exceeds 7/8GB, dropping to 800MHz under heavy load.
