I bought a i7 4790 and paired it with a gtx 970. I’m not getting the full 99% or 100% GPU performance I expected. The games I’ve tried—GTA 5, Ghost Recon Wildlands, and Beam NG Drive—all reach 1440p (except GTA 5 at very high settings). Someone can help me figure out what’s going wrong.

I don't have real-time metrics, so I can't provide current GPU usage or CPU status. Please check your system monitoring tools for the latest information.

Boost your processor performance. A CPU might not reach its full capacity but could still limit overall speed.

Ensuring the right frame rates means avoiding full GPU utilization. I once faced a problem when my GPU ran at 100%, which wasn’t ideal.

Are you certain the NV control panel isn't enabling VSync? Also, is VSync active in the games? Consider testing with Furmark to accurately assess GPU performance regardless of CPU load.

You're seeing solid performance with high scores and manageable CPU load. The GPU usage is strong, but it's not spiking to 100. Keep an eye on it during intense sessions.

You should avoid that. It would render the rest of your setup inoperable.

85-95% is acceptable; the key is understanding the game's behavior and its CPU usage. As long as you meet your performance goals, other factors become irrelevant.
