The "SYSTEM" process is quite large. When loading new files, unused items are moved to SYSTEM - W10 feature. This newer OS version is much more aggressive than earlier ones. Turning off the Superfetch service stops it. I've experienced this issue multiple times recently—disabling Superfetch resolved it five times. Open Services, type services.msc, locate Superfetch, stop it via the button, then disable it in the dropdown and restart. Use System normally, check for these problems; they seem to be gone.
