Hello Forum, I've just begun experiencing problems with my desktop. Recently, I installed a second Nvidia Gtx 770 via Sli, which led to unpredictable freezing that hasn't been fixed yet—except by disabling Sli (reinstalled drivers and GeForce Experience still didn’t help). Recently, I also updated my PC with KB2975719 and an Intel graphics adapter update, KB2984006, but Windows 8.1 Pro is acting strangely now. The GPU freezes when I use Internet Explorer, Outlook, and possibly Steam—web apps that usually work fine. After a while, the browser fails to launch, and my icons take about five minutes to load. I’m worried these are serious signs. I ran an sfc /scannow and it reported some fixes, but others remain unresolved. This is the first issue I’ve faced on this machine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! P.S. I understand an OS reset or restore might be the best option, though I’m hesitant about it. P.P.S. PC settings also have trouble running, and IE settings won’t reset properly.

Navigate to the system restore option, and choose the backup from the day prior when issues began. NOTE: ahh, I was just getting ninja'd

Both drivers are set up, and the process handled it all.

I also used IE, but experienced problems with Chrome for a while, after which IE and connected applications stopped functioning properly.

Despite being common and easy to handle, this might actually be the issue. I've frequently faced difficulties installing drivers via Windows Update.

I'll attempt that now, executing another sfc.
