Urgent assistance required for a new construction project.
I recently assembled my new PC and it functions properly for downloading and launching games, but performance drops significantly when playing. The input lag is extremely high, especially during gameplay. Sometimes it appears resolved, only for a moment to reset and the lag returns. I followed a guide on PCPartPicker to address this issue. It seems my 3DCache wasn’t active, so I reinstalled it using Revo Uninstaller and replaced the chipset drivers with the latest versions. I’m unsure what’s causing the problem now. Any advice would be appreciated!
You can start by using DDU and remove display drivers. Then reinstall. Also, since it is a new build, you can always wipe Windows and reinstall a fresh Windows. Did you try installing only one SSD and remove the other till Windows is fully installed ? Did you try using the integrated GPU of the processor and remove the graphics card while installing Windows ? Clearing the CMOS memory might help too while we are at it. Hope something helps.
I also tried without success; it seems a new installation would be best now. I still have both M.2 SSDs, but I’ll likely take the second one out once Windows is set up. Should I clear the CMOS beforehand?
Yeah, I done them on my own at first and once the problems started I thought I did something wrong, so I followed someone on YouTube (maybe Jay's two cents) video about fully removing old/outdated/or broken drivers and installing the newest ones. I'm currently in process of reinstalling windows. I'm at the stage of the gigabyte software downloading all the detected drivers and updates. I'll then follow a video again to make sure I get the correct drivers for the gpu (and cpu if I haven't already).
