Initially everything will run very smoothly without any problems. The denser you make your city, the worse your performance becomes, especially when zoomed in or at the fastest speeds—this puts a huge strain on the CPU. Even with a solid 6700k and decent overclocking, it won’t handle extremely dense, large cities well. Dense urban environments also bring tough traffic challenges unless you prepare ahead or play in a sandbox setting. Your gameplay might feel restricted compared to cities with millions of people on smaller maps, but building a reasonable city similar to real-world ones should keep your CPU usage manageable. I own a 4440 and haven’t managed to create a city big enough to drop my FPS below 30.
