Upset About the Source and EA
It's just a matter of coping with servers frequently shutting down (like in Dota, CS:GO, or TF2) and ongoing scams from phishers.
I investigated the problem I encountered, and it seems it's not unusual, with little to no solution available.
Based on my steam experience, I haven't encountered many problems, though I might not be noticing them. I understand.
Disappointed with EA for not accepting your payment? I’d have seen it as a sign from above and switched to another platform.
Usually you can find better offers from resellers (Amazon, GreenMangaming, GamersGate, etc.). Buying directly from the client isn’t worth it right now. Especially since gifts aren’t available yet. I think twice about this. Their service is far superior to Valve’s, but their client tools and community features lag behind. If they put in more effort, they could be much stronger. But they never cared about that. They just aimed to make money from their games without paying another company or client, then they stopped trying.
Origin includes two layers of verification for upcoming use.
To the OP: experienced the same issue and followed your approach. Disliked setting up another account, as it was the only solution available. Understand that it wasn't related to the credit card.
