After a week of intense frustration, I finally set up a separate account just to buy a game. The transaction worked perfectly the first time, which is surprising given how many issues I faced. It’s perplexing that a company with such resources can’t resolve such a major problem. Now I’m forced to use multiple accounts just to play games... Anyone else have similar experiences?

Yeah, I got banned because my account was stolen. I also lost two free games and the Battlefield 3 premium plus $6.

It's not that Steam is superior... you can often wait more than a week for a generic response that fails to tackle the real problem.

Thanks for letting me know. I prefer not to store my payment information anywhere. Feeling secure is more important than dealing with repetitive number entry.
