UPS
UPS
Hello, I've been using a brand new UPS for about two weeks and everything was functioning properly. However, during today's power outage, the PC shut down immediately. To clarify, only the case is connected to the UPS. Could it be that the system described needs an online UPS? Thank you ahead of time. UPS Brand: PCE V8 2500VA PC Specifications: CPU: 9800X3D GPU: 9070 XT RAM: 16X2 GB RAM 6000MT/S PSU: MSI MAG A850GLS (850W) Motherboard: X870 Storage: 1TB NVMe, 1TB NVMe, 1TB HDD
Sorry about the online UPS. Could you verify if it maintains power when disconnected? Does it have a management interface such as USB or network options? Common issue I’ve noticed is whether the batteries are properly connected.
The interactive line should work. I didn’t locate much info about the UPS online. My unit has plugs with both surge and battery backup, plus some only surge. Make sure you’re plugged into an outlet connected to the battery. Did the UPS shut down when power failed, or did it keep running while the PC stopped?
I checked the details and the mention of "universal" connectors is my initial concern. A site advertised 1200W output, but given the usual low-end Chinese labeling, that’s a red flag. They claim 350-400W, which feels more like a budget option lasting only seconds to a minute under load due to inefficiency (about half the power goes to waste). The batteries are lead-acid, rated 7-10Ah each—this website says two 9Ah units, which seems unrealistic for such a high wattage. For context, genuine 2500VA units are significantly larger, weighing around 70kg, and have much bigger battery packs. Your model is only about half the size, and the form factor makes it impossible to justify the rating. The numbers don’t add up; the labels are misleading. If you’re still interested, consider getting a proper unit or at least verify the specs before buying. If you need alternatives, I’d suggest something with real power ratings and proper dimensions.
Hello, the UPS remained active but the computer shut down. It seems the UPS has four identical power outlets.
I see, will check with the store that i bought it from. Here is the link btw with the specs listed: https://ezonelb.com/product/pce-v8-2500v...rotection/
