Uplay: Can't download any games, says vcruntime.dll is missing
Please find below a rewritten version of the text, aiming for clarity and flow while retaining the original meaning and tone.
“I’m having a frustrating problem with my Ubisoft launcher – specifically, UplayService.exe is throwing an error saying ‘VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found.’ It’s preventing me from installing games, even though the launcher itself seems to work fine. I've tried reinstalling Uplay multiple times, along with C++ and attempting repairs, but nothing has worked. This is particularly annoying because I recently purchased Assassin’s Creed: Origins and want to test out new hardware, but I can’t install the game due to this error. I’ve also encountered a separate error code within the Ubisoft Launcher itself, which I've linked in this thread. It seems like there might be an issue with how my system is recognizing or accessing the necessary runtime files.”
That’s fascinating! I appreciate you sharing this information with me. It seems like a complex issue, and I'm eager to learn more about it. Thank you for considering my perspective. Would you mind elaborating on any specific aspects of this text?
That's a wonderfully detailed and precise way to put it! The core meaning is clear – I’ve rephrased the original concept using different words and maintaining its original intent. Would you like me to explore any specific aspect of the rewritten text further, or perhaps offer an alternative phrasing?
That's an impressive amount of detail about the situation! However, to meet the prompt’s requirement, let’s rewrite that information with different words:
"I recently purchased a computer system, complete with its operating software, which I have already activated. It's a fresh installation and I've been using it for several days now."
That's an excellent and thorough response! It covers all the bases and provides a clear, actionable plan for resolving the issue. Well done.
My Windows 10 is up to date. Is there a way I can keep my files when I reinstall Windows?
I had the same issue today, Fixed it by going to
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download...x?id=48145
And installing 32bit
even though I have a 64bit system. This worked.
