So I was sitting there waiting for The Crew to download and I saw a bar that looked different. I was surprised to find out that it means I can play the game before it's done downloading like on the PS4. I suspect it to be buggy but hey I get to play early what do you guys think about it? do you think Steam and Origin should try and do the same?
It depends on what you're asking about. If you mean the technical details, the extra download space is often used for updates, analytics, or background processes. If you're curious about the game itself, it's designed to run smoothly with minimal overhead. Let me know if you'd like more specifics!
The PS4 supports this feature, likely using the same technology. Blizzard games have consistently utilized it over the years, probably starting with World of Warcraft.
I'm really enjoying the team right now. I might have to purchase it when it releases—it's a lot of fun!
Steam doesn't handle this process. I still wait for games to download and update before using them.
