So I'm facing a minor issue I'd rather skip. To get my PC running smoothly, I need to switch to either a B450 or B550 board and upgrade from a 2600 to a 3600/3600x setup. Right now, I experience some occasional crashes in MW2 because my CPU struggles to match the GPU power (especially with the RX6600).
My Discord account is the issue. The email I used is gone—I had it on my old phone, and the password wasn't backed up. My old phone number stopped working after I transferred my number. I have friends, servers, and Discord logins set up, but losing them would be a hassle.
Would I need to wipe the boot drive using HAL or could I just reinstall Windows while keeping my current apps? Thanks for understanding.
Not always required, but could assist in tuning the newer board. I changed an M.2 from a B550 to a 5900X with a B450 and a 3600X, keeping the same storage, GPU, RAM, and without problems with the boot drive or Windows setup. It was a trial to check if the RAM was compatible. Ryzens and compatible boards behave this way. Still, it works in some situations.
I strongly recommend reaching out to Discord Support. I've noticed others getting removed after updates, so being proactive would help. Providing details like your email, phone number, and location should aid in recovery. It's better to fix this now rather than later.
