Hey there! I've been using an MSI B350 PC Mate with a Ryzen 5 1400 and GTX 1050 Ti Strix for about a year. I'm thinking about upgrading to a Ryzen 5 2600 but am concerned about the BIOS. My motherboard BIOS is American Megatrends A.EO, and I see issues whenever I try to search for it. Anyone know if this BIOS can support that CPU? Or would switching to a 1600 be a better option?

Choose the 2600 if you're okay with the price gap. The 1600AF is similar to the 2600 but slightly slower, so opt for it if you want comparable performance at a lower cost. For the BIOS, you should upgrade before purchasing a new CPU—make sure it's version A.D0 or newer. Updating BIOS is now straightforward and secure as long as you don't lose power during the process.

It's possible to delay upgrading. The Ryzen 4000 will come out later this year; you may not be able to purchase it now, but its launch could also result in reduced prices for the 2000 and 3000 models.
