Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit is expected to transition to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit upon release. It’s advisable to upgrade promptly after launch to avoid potential issues and ensure smooth operation, but monitor updates closely for any stability concerns.

You'd receive a 64-bit version. And honestly, I'd hold off initially to gauge the feedback from others before deciding.

Avoid using a Windows-based system for the initial six months... Likely to encounter major problems and security risks. Don't worry about driver compatibility with outdated software.

You’ll receive a 10 Pro x64 version with an easy upgrade process that starts right after installation. I’m currently using Windows 10 on my laptop from 2010, and there are no driver issues. It’s safe to upgrade right away.

Yes. 2. Backups aren't set up? That's not okay at all. If you haven't already, don't start using your computer until you have a reliable backup system in place. I'm serious—data can disappear quickly due to many reasons, and an official Microsoft upgrade is just one of them.

I’d secure your place right away; all the feedback seems ideal, yet I’ll pause for a week to review the details before committing.
