Upgrading server from 2012 MBR to GPT format
It's really frustrating since I don't have any SATA power or cables on my desktop. I'll have to locate the PSU case, but it worked fine. Still, it won't boot at all—it jumps straight into BIOS. The disk is detected, but there might be an issue with IDE/AHCI. BIOS only supports AHCI. I tried fixing it via the command prompt when using the USB installer, but that didn't help either.
Attempted the bootrec command, but it wasn't detected. The system doesn't recognize it as a boot device.
You didn’t attempt automatic boot repair using the Win10 installation disk. It didn’t involve any commands—just an automatic process. This requires a clean, unpartitioned drive, as Windows will generate missing partitions.
