Only matching model, brand, capacity and speed counts if you're adding more RAM to your current modules. If you intend to swap the old RAM entirely, the new modules don't need to match.

Do you consistently utilize the full 16 GB of available RAM? Probably not, so increasing it won’t significantly boost performance. Yes! You may need to turn XMP back on, but that’s about it.

To install the new memory, first detach the old unit by adjusting the plastic clips at each end of the slots. Then, pull out the previous RAM. Finally, detach the end clips on the RAM channel to remove it completely.

It's available at a discount in my nearby PC store, likely because they're moving away from DDR4 and focusing on selling DDR5 and the latest components.
