Hello, I'm replacing my PSU with a Corsair HX1000i Platinum Modular Low Noise 1000W model. Does it satisfy the needs of a 3080 GTX and an Intel Core i9-13900K processor?

yes it works well for such a system
your pc should use about 500w during gaming
(assuming a typical setup with 2-3 drives and a few rgb fans) it will function efficiently
there is also space to upgrade to a more power-consuming card if needed later.

is the power supply you're considering suitable? Some people mention Corsair PSUs, but I've found them to be average. My setup includes multiple fans, an SSD, an NVMe M.2 drive, an HDD, and a 3080gtx RAM module. I'm not yet sure which motherboard to choose.

RMX (GOLD) and HXI (platinum's) are both excellent choices. I've used several in recent builds, at least five over the past few years.
I'm currently using an HXI with a 4070TI, pulling 450-475 watts during games—enough headroom for spikes.
You're in good hands, keep it up!
(For budget reasons, the RMX is significantly cheaper than the 399; the HXI should be around 219 here).

which psu do you have for the hxi you are using too? additionally, can this psu power a 3080 rtx since it is a bit more affordable because it is 850 watts? corsair hx platinum modular 850w power supply not sure if it has the correct pcie connectors for the graphics card

I'm using the HXI 1000 which is 1000 watts.
NIVIDA suggests a minimum of 750 watts, but I'd expect around 850 for a 3080.
Wouldn't it be better to choose the RMX 850 if you're on a tighter budget? It's only 134 at Amazon...
The platinum option isn't justified by the limited efficiency gains.

Hello. I've heard excellent things about the Corsair HX1000i. On a related forum thread, I shared some extra suggestions (below), if you're interested in checking it out.

Any PSU recommendations for 1200W ATX 3.0?
Build Advice - Any PSU recommendations for 1200W ATX 3.0?

Hey everyone, I'm working on a new build and am aiming for a reliable PSU to future-proof the setup, especially with a potential upgrade to a 40 series GPU in the future. Thanks all and cheers!

I'm considering the HX1000 watt because I've heard positive reviews about it.
My options are:
- Corsair HX1000i Platinum Modular Low Noise 1000W Power Supply
- Corsair HX Platinum Modular 850W Power Supply
Is the 1000i too much for my setup since the 850 watt is 100 dollars cheaper and do they both support enough PCIe connectors for my 3080 GTX?
Also, a quick question – do either of these power supplies meet the requirements for a 4080 RTX in the future? I'd like to upgrade later without needing another PSU replacement.

I wouldn't go any lower than 850 watts since that's the max you can run without overclocking.
Your build details aren't available, but if you're using a 13900k and planning to overclock with multiple drives and fans, I'd suggest going above 1000 watts.
More information would help.
