Hello, you're considering upgrading your i7 2600k with an overclocked setup on the Asus P8H61-M LX3 R2.0 board. Since it uses an H61 chipset and has a non-K CPU, you can still attempt to increase its performance by adjusting the multiplier settings. However, be aware that changing the multiplier may not yield results if your CPU isn't compatible with higher speeds. Check the official documentation for guidance on safe overclocking steps.

Overclocking requires a Z board and a K chip. You’ll have the K chip, but lack the Z board needed for Intel overclocking.

However, the multiplier remains in place, making it impossible to alter its effect.
