I own a Ryzen 7 3700X with a GTX 1060 6GB graphics card, an 8GB Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz RAM stick, and an Aorus B450 Elite M.2 slot. Mostly I use this configuration for music production and YouTube video editing, but my 8GB RAM is becoming less effective with more demanding tasks. My budget is about £90 (around $110), and I’m deciding whether to buy a 16GB 3000MHz RAM stick or an additional 8GB stick. I’m wondering if mixing sizes makes sense and whether my processor can handle 24GB instead of the current setup. Also, should I consider other factors before making a choice?

You might consider optimizing your existing RAM instead of swapping it out.

You need the precise same kind of RAM to avoid problems and prevent mismatches, which would cause issues.

That's the kit I suggested.
