Hello, I need some details. I’m planning to upgrade from a ROG Strix RTX 2070 OC to an RX 9060 XT with 16GB RAM. Will this change affect my system much? Is the upgrade worth it? Right now I’m running at 1080p. My current specs are: CPU – Ryzen 5600G, Motherboard – MSI A520M A Pro (latest BIOS), RAM – 16GB Corsair 3200mhz, GPU – RTX 2070 OC with 8GB VRAM, Power Supply – FSP MX 650w (about 6-7 years old), and a 75Hz Samsung monitor.

The unit is a Category-C model with a 5-year warranty (though some sources suggest it might be shorter). I recommend upgrading to a more stable PSU, ideally closer to Tier-A, delivering 650W for your full system. Currently, you may install the GPU without power concerns, but doing so outside the warranty period isn't advisable.
If you're committed to 1080p, you should be okay. However, aiming for 1440p gaming would require upgrading your CPU and motherboard, as the existing VRM design is insufficient.
