AMD Athlon X4 880K 4x4.00GHz
MSI A68HM GRENADE
MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Aero 6GB OC
8GB RAM Kingston/ G-Skill/ Crucial DDR3 PC-1600 1x8GB ValueRAM
1TB Toshiba HDD DT01ACA
480W be quiet! AC-WildRabbit Series
Cooler Master K380 case
AMD CPU Cooler EKL Silence
Microsoft Windows 10 64Bit Prof
That’s the system I bought because my previous machine couldn’t handle the latest games anymore. Overclocking is an option? I heard the 880k is a dream CPU for overclockers, right?
What upgrades should I consider (I don’t really need a 300$ SSD with 1047819034MB/s speed, but maybe a 120GB/250 would work since I mostly play 3-4 games)?
For RAM, I’ll definitely add another 8GB or more and aim for 16GB.
The graphics card should last at least a few months—I doubt I’ll be playing anything beyond League of Legends, PUBG, GTA V, Overwatch.

Your GTX 1060 might be limited by the 880K in certain games. Improving gaming performance on this setup isn't really possible, especially if you're focused on gaming. Overclocking the CPU could help a bit, but the motherboard isn't built for significant overclocks. If your gameplay is lagging, switching to a more powerful system would be the best solution.

By the way, who said the 880K was perfect for overclockers? I've noticed very little room for improvement in the 860K/880K CPUs I've used before.
