The upgrade for Mass Effect 3 is priced at four euros. Should we consider whether it’s a good investment?

I believe so. The From Ashes DLC is pricier than the Mass Effect DLC, as those are always sold at full price and only cost "Bioware Points."

Discussing Bioware details, this refers to how the DLCs and shortcuts function. They typically unlock content as you progress through the game.

In steam it's simple – you can view the DLCs beneath the "Buy" button, but here you'll find expansions and other content ;/

Absolutely, I'm in agreement—it's a good idea.

Bioware uses its own currency which required converting your regular money first. To get the From Ashes DLC without the Deluxe version, you needed to buy 800 Bioware Points. In that case it worked since you could get exactly that amount. However, points were only available in 400, 800, 1200 or 1600 units, meaning you’d have to spend more than necessary if you wanted items costing less than 160 or 320 points. And these prices never dropped. Shortcut packs for Battlefield 3 let you unlock things before playing, while most Mass Effect DLCs are genuine content or skin packs that can’t be obtained in-game.

The Weapon-DLCs and Packs aren't necessary because the game already offers sufficient weapons, so they don't block progress or negatively impact the experience. The "From the Ashes" DLC is a good investment if you're interested in the lore. The "Leviathan" DLC is worth purchasing for fans of the mythology. The "Omega" DLC seems unnecessary—it doesn't enhance the story and feels uninteresting. The "Citadel" DLC is useful only after completing the game, offering extra playtime as a fun spin rather than a must-have for new players. I don't suggest it for first runs; it's best for those who want to enjoy the game again later.

From the Ashes - I secured it with the Deluxe edition... just four euros... well, now you're suggesting Leviathan adds extra lore and the Citadel boosts gameplay—got it, I'll grab them when I begin playing. For now, I'll keep it as is. There are plenty of other games to try. When's the next Origin sale, by the way?

I own everything and enjoy every single one. I found Leviathan a bit dull, though it wasn't terrible.
