Upgrading from an AMD SSD to an Intel SSD
I might try a different setup in a few months and likely choose Intel, while I’m currently using AMD. I’ll retain the same storage drives to avoid replacing them. If I make the change, will everything still work? I’ve heard you should remove and reinstall Windows, but does that affect other programs too?
In short, you need to remove the SSD from your current setup using Windows, replace it with the new Intel board, and reinstall the required drivers. This process might work, but outcomes vary. Many people have tried it before, and results seem unpredictable. Some faced problems, others had none, and a few only noticed issues after a full reset. Since PC components differ, you can't be sure until you try it yourself.
I possess another storage device. Moving files to that drive can help. Removing all drivers from the non-Windows partition then lets you reinstall Windows there. It won’t be easy due to slow internet and shared 1TB monthly with five users, but it should work for your clips, videos, and modded games.
