Others have mentioned the anti-static bag isn't essential. The CPU performed well; however, your system's BIOS might not support the i5 4590 since your i3 could be an older model before Intel updated it. I understand some chips don’t fit even in the same socket, so you should verify compatibility on HP’s site. One of the RAM sticks seems faulty—I’d be happy to send you $5 for that bad stick. Also, I keep components in a holder, which keeps everything in good condition, so the anti-static bag isn’t a major concern.
