Right now I have a 1440p display at 144Hz, and I’m using a 1060 with 6GB RAM. My 2060 Super is arriving today. I prefer mechanical drives for big games like GTA V, Boom!, Ark, etc., since I don’t play much.

Looking ahead, a 2060S setup could leverage NVENC for streaming without CPU strain. Many tests show the 2080ti can bypass GPU bottlenecks, allowing all three Ryzen models to perform well. At 1080p the gap widens but narrows at higher resolutions, reaching almost parity by 4K. The 2060S is expected to peak around 1440p, matching the 2080ti’s behavior there. I’d hold off until it arrives and monitor performance. Keep an eye on CPU usage—upgrading from 1600 to 3600 might not boost FPS noticeably on a 1440p screen. If your display is 1080p or higher, you’ll feel the difference more. For a solid build, a bigger SSD is more valuable than a CPU upgrade unless you’re pushing overclocking limits. A good cooler could also make a noticeable difference if you’re not already optimized.
