I recently switched from an ASRock b450m/ac to the x570m Pro4 but can't get my PC to boot. It shows a black screen with no ASRock logo to prompt the BIOS. Previously, I noticed the CPU and DRAM indicators would turn red before it even reached the CPU, which helped me figure out the RAM placement issue. After reseating everything properly, the problem shifted to the VGA and Boot lights staying on red. Below is my current hardware setup:

- Motherboard: ASRock X570m Pro4 - BIOS version 3.70 (purchased 11/10/22)
- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600X
- RAM: G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series, 16GB total (2 x 8GB)
- PC RAM: DDR4 3000, 24000 MHz
- GPU: ASUS KO NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti V2 OC Edition, 8GB GDDR6
- Storage: HP SSD EX900 M.2 250GB (used both NVMe and Hyper M.2 slots)
- No other SATA devices connected

I've already attempted clearing the BIOS and reseating the RAM and GPU, but nothing resolved it. I also tried booting without the M.2 drive or any SATA devices, yet the VGA and Boot lights remained active. I double-checked all connections multiple times.

The board is also here. Upgrading it makes sense because your current one isn’t meeting your requirements anymore.

I just switched back to the b450m/ac and everything is functioning correctly. I was attempting to upgrade both my build and my SO's build (her has a R5 5600X and 3070, but all other details remain the same) because we're experiencing problems with USB devices (and Razer headset hubs) that keep disconnecting and reconnecting repeatedly for minutes at a time. This is really frustrating. I thought the Mobo couldn't handle the increased USB load, and we'd like to optimize our GPUs—moving from a PCIe 3.0 board to one supporting PCIe 4.0 and offering extra storage/SATA slots, which the X570 boards and chipset provide. Unfortunately, our cases only support M boards, and this is the only X570M Pro4 available. I haven't tested the other X570M Pro yet; I might try it in her tower to check if the issue lies with the board itself or something else.

I'm still facing issues after the holidays. I used the second Mobo, same as before. But this one completely stops at the CPU and DRAM indicators. I've tested three different RAM configurations that are known to work and those of the old CPUs (Ryzen 3 1200). I'm stuck and can't think of anything else except returning the products for exchange (though it seems unlikely they'll be compatible, but I don't have any info on that). One board freezes at the GPU while another freezes at CPU and DRAM. I have until January 31st because of Newegg's holiday rules or until February 6th for another reason from their site. Thanks for any advice!
