I've been using a 3200mhz 16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro with Ryzen 5 1600 GA-AB350M since 2017, adding another 16GB recently. Initially, everything worked smoothly with default settings, but I started encountering blue screens after applying custom timings. It seems to function normally on default motherboard configurations, yet it only runs at 2133mhz afterward. After replacing the old RAM and running memory tests, the issue persisted, suggesting a potential problem beyond the RAM itself. I've checked other slots on the same board without issues. Yesterday it stabilized at 3000mhz with default settings, but now it consistently shows a blue screen when powering on. The problem appears only when both kits are installed, indicating the issue might be related to the dual configuration rather than a faulty RAM. I'm curious if others have faced similar challenges.

Adjust the frequency to 2933MHz and attempt once more. It seems Zen's memory controller might be faulty. Make sure your BIOS is updated to the newest version if needed.

Adjust the settings to 1.2 and 1.4, then test with 2933 running at 3200MHz RAM—especially with 32 gigabytes, which is quite demanding on the slow Zen 1 chip.

The issue seems to stem from IMC problems. I experienced something similar on X99. It might be better to switch to two 16GB sticks instead of four 8GB ones. If you can achieve stability at 4GB with a clock speed of 2933, you could likely reduce latency to comparable levels as with higher speeds. This approach is generally less stressful for IMC but more reliant on RAM quality.

Zen's IMC performance tends to be modest, particularly at higher memory frequencies exceeding 3000MHz.
