Use your existing GPU first, as it functions properly. Once you uninstall the current drivers, install the new ones.

Playing around with drivers isn't worth it unless you can get it to boot properly. Most GPUs just need confirmation they're connected correctly, including the slots and power cables. If it still fails, it might be a faulty unit—perhaps the PSU is the issue, though the newer one isn't much different from the old.
