Discovered a performance issue with my RAM causing crashes or freezes during GTAV and Division 2. Previous configuration had four 8GB modules, now only two 8GB sticks remain. I experience lag spikes under heavy load, which wasn’t an issue with the full set. Crashes disappeared when using just the two sticks. Tried swapping slot pairs to rule out a problem in one of the memory lanes. Currently considering upgrading to two 16GB or four 8GB sticks. Could four sticks improve things? Also, a sale has Corsair 2666MHz and 3200MHz models at similar prices—will using the 3200MHz offer any advantage? Additionally, these are two 16GB modules.

A few advantages, like matching the same bandwidth and no difference in the gap. Yet, why do you require 32 gigabits?

In fact, lowering the RAM from 32 to 16GB due to this faulty stick caused a significant drop in performance while playing the game. There were noticeable lag spikes, especially during intense moments with much activity. It looks like the system is utilizing most of the remaining 16GB.
