What router model are you employing and where does it originate from your setup? Adjusting the antennas might not be the issue, as certain transceivers are designed for specific antennas; swapping them for bigger ones could reduce your connection quality.

You're connecting a router provided by your internet service provider, specifically Virgin Media.

It seems the antennas might not be the main problem—the signal strength is likely too low. Virgin Media routers generally have limited coverage. I added an extra Access Point for a friend’s house, but it only worked well upstairs and was ineffective downstairs, even on 2.4GHz where speeds are slower.
