I reviewed some old Windows 10 videos and found them appealing. I believe Windows 8 is quite poor, so I didn’t install it. Regarding your question, it might influence game performance.

Windows 10 preview isn't recommended as your primary operating system for gaming. It tends to have many issues. Upgrading later would be better. Windows 8.1 can offer slightly higher frame rates than Windows 7 in some titles due to resource handling, but mainly because of its updated DirectX and support for DX 11.2. Windows 10 generally provides improved gaming performance thanks to these updates.
