Optimal approach is to fully replace the drive on the SSD. If that isn’t feasible, a disk cloning utility like Macrium can handle the process.

When purchasing a well-known company such as Samsung, you can install their complimentary application "Samsung Magician." It transfers all data from your previous storage device—like the boot sector—to your new SSD. Other manufacturers also provide similar services.

Things might fail sometimes. It’s a great chance to begin with a clean setup... I often think I’d like to automate the process so Windows can be reinstalled and stripped down every week.

The usual method to transfer the OS from the HDD to the SSD involves either cloning the disk or generating a system image, followed by using the Windows recovery setup (included in the installer) to restore it. Placing Windows directly on the SSD presents challenges such as having to reinstall everything and reestablishing app settings and data, but there’s a guide available on how to back up or move files from the old drive if you’d like more details.

I shared a comparable discussion some time back, discovered the hard way, so I did a complete refresh now. Yes, it's not great, but it's better than dealing with post issues one by one.

I attempted to relocate it with a program, but everything went wrong. My computer has two different operating systems, so I copied everything over. Eventually, I had to clear everything and start fresh.
