You just finished setting up your first PC and downloaded Windows 10 Home. You tried installing a Windows 10 Pro key but it didn’t activate properly. The website warns you that this product isn’t meant to upgrade from another version. To use your key without losing data, you’ll need to follow the official activation steps provided by Microsoft—don’t just type the key in and expect it to work. Let me know if you need help with that process. Thanks!

I don’t have that information, but you can usually back up your files before upgrading and use Windows Recovery Environment or System Restore to revert if needed.

Do you possess a backup storage? If yes, transfer your information there and then detach it prior to setting up Windows. After completion, reattach your HDD and restore your files to the operating system drive.

They wouldn't hesitate, since it's an OEM key from Kinguin.

The Kinguin section was omitted from your initial message. Please try to retrieve your refund from Kinguin and purchase a genuine item.
