The new laptop includes a Windows 10 Home license, while your Pro version is linked to your account as a digital license. Despite using the same account, you still see HOME and lack access because the digital license was tied to your account.

You might have to reinstall Windows with your Pro key. It’s unclear if this affects your home OEM key. Anyone?

Ensure the product key is entered correctly in Windows; it’s necessary for upgrading to the Pro version. Without the right key, the upgrade won’t proceed.

You should be able to transfer the Windows 10 Pro license from your old laptop or PC to a new one. I discovered two helpful sites for this process: the first is https://www.groovypost.com/howto/find-yo...oduct-key/, and the second is https://www.howtogeek.com/404525/how-to-...-computer/. Hope it assists you.

Uncertain though, but I need it on the updated version. No concern about the previous one.

It was a modernization step similar to what I did with Windows 10 many years back. The free upgrade to Windows 10 was automatically included in my account as a digital license.

The free upgrade to Win10 didn’t provide a key. The digital license applies only to the original device you used during the update. It cannot be transferred to other computers.
