You should reinstall Windows 10 Pro to get the full features and updates you need for professional use. It won’t just update itself—it will restore all the functionality and security patches that are essential for a pro environment.

I previously used a key to change the home setting to Pro. I located it through a search. It only changes the installation, not the activation, which you need to handle separately.

It’s better to set up your OS as PRO rather than doing a home upgrade, since the latter is often problematic for most users. PRO and home are quite similar, but PRO offers fewer limitations and more advanced capabilities—though not necessarily because you’ll need them. If staying with home works for you, that’s fine.

On Windows 10, you can change your installed version without losing anything by entering the newer version codes. You won’t have to reinstall; the updates will add features Pro offers that home editions lack.
