Education is the same as the Pro version. Switching to Home would be a lower tier. You can't downgrade unless you reinstall.

I believe it is correct. Are you certain your key is designed only for school networks or is it intended for home use? That seems to be the main concern. You might risk losing activation if it’s not meant for use outside that network.

It was a used computer from a school, recently updated with the latest W7 OS version. No product key was found on the sticker.
