I'm searching for a more affordable replacement for my DZ77SL-50K motherboard. It's been reliable for gaming but now it's struggling, and I can't afford a new setup right now. I need something that will keep my system running until I can upgrade later. My current specs are: CPU I5-3570K, GPU Asus GTX 1060, 3GB RAM, 4x 4GB DDR3, one SSD, one HDD, one Ethernet card, and a Wi-Fi card. Looking for a budget-friendly LGA1155 option.

It seems those boards come with a high price tag. So I’d opt for something more affordable if you intend to upgrade soon. For instance, this one: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/RtDwrH/...-h61mp21b3 Anything above $100 feels out of place compared to newer options for the same cost.

I support your pricing, but bored doesn't fit well since it only offers 2 RAM slots. I think it's still a decent option because you have 4 cards already.

It's frustrating because it looks like 1151 edges are cheap, but I just can't find a compatible CPU and RAM right now. It's really discouraging.

Ryzen offers great value, especially with the B450 board and a 1200 or 2200g CPU. It’s a strong setup for future upgrades and you can find good deals on eBay. I purchased a 2200g for $65.

Thanks for the suggestion, I located a Ryzen 3 2200G Bundle from Gigabyte B450 Gaming X Motherboard for $192.96, complete with a cooler. I plan to purchase it by Christmas and will need some RAM soon. My interest remains on the Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM at 3000MHz. I’ll check what deals Black Friday brings.

I'm not in the UK. I just changed the price to USD, but it didn't save much if I bought it separately.

The used 1600 costs $80 plus a b350/450 price tag for $80, plus your pick of 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM for $60. This seems like the top budget option right now.
