Intel generally handles RAM better than AMD. It wouldn’t make sense for an AMD setup, especially on the 9900K.

Although the processor isn’t extremely fast by today’s standards, the benefits of upgrading are hard to judge without personal testing. You’ll need to check reviews elsewhere but I think any improvement would be modest, not enough to dramatically alter your gaming experience. Think about it: do you find the current frame rate too low for what you’re used to? Would higher performance really make a big difference? If you’re unsure, try lowering other settings and see if it helps. Generally, don’t let hardware specs overwhelm you—just enjoy the games. Intel CPUs appreciate RAM speed just as much as AMD does, possibly even more because of smaller cache sizes. Avoid confusing AMD’s limited bandwidth with the idea that faster RAM automatically solves all issues.

However, the benefits start to fade. Going beyond 3200Mhz for AMD and above 2666 for Intel often adds little value. While you might see a slight boost in gaming speed, it won’t significantly impact overall performance.

I somewhat agree, because if I already had 2666 RAM, upgrading to faster memory wouldn’t be on my priority list unless I had the funds. The benefits would be minimal and probably not substantial. I believe 3200 offered the best balance of performance and value since Skylake, while a slight decrease to 3000 provided more focus on efficiency. During the early DDR4 period there was a noticeable price increase between those speed tiers. Only after Zen 2 did affordable 3600 become appealing for performance enthusiasts. In my recent tests on Shadow of the Tomb Raider i5 10600k with 2080Ti and a stock Kingston HyperX RGB 4000 2x8GB at 1440p HDR with DLSS, using 2133:115 fps RAM at 3600 achieved about 14% improvement over switching to XMP 3600. The 4000 also works, but based on past experience it tends to lag behind 3600 due to poorer timing, and I didn’t try it this time. At 4K resolution it mostly depended on the GPU, so no major change there. Of course, this is just one game at a single setup, and results can vary widely depending on many factors. Personally, frame rates above 100 are enough for me, so that difference wasn’t important to me.

Without testing myself, I can't confirm that claim. Returns will gradually decrease, but not too quickly. I believe 3200 remains a solid performance baseline for a quad-core processor, and more cores probably won’t raise it much further.
