There are fake memory sticks available, and based on what I recall, Corsair offers fake RAM. I’m not sure about G Skill though. Note: G Skill doesn’t appear to sell fake sticks, but Corsair Vengeance RAM does. Updated December 20, 2024 by Cringe_Master245

Running four genuine sticks might boost size and RAM capacity—just lower the speed to maintain stability (e.g., from 6000mhz to around 5200mhz). As long as the same kits are used across channels (like A1 B1 and A2 B2), memory performance won’t be a big issue now. Ideally you want at least 32gb, with 64 being sufficient even if it changes later. Adding more stable channels could help in the future, but it seems more like a convenience than a necessity right now. Also, expanding to four channels might improve processing reach for stations.
