Upgrade your setup!
I’m planning to replace my CPU with a Ryzen 7 5800x and maybe upgrade my memory. I’m considering the NZXT Kraken Elite as a cooler option. For RAM, I’m not sure yet—what do you think? Thanks!
The main scenario is limited. The 5700X offers a comparable CPU at a lower cost, making it a straightforward choice. The 5700X3D provides superior gaming performance for the same budget, which aligns better with a gaming-focused build. If the setup isn't primarily for gaming, the 5900X tends to match the 5700X/5800X in price while delivering much stronger multi-core capabilities. Unless it's not a primary gaming rig, sticking with the current configuration seems sensible. The AIO is quite costly for its performance, so it’s best avoided unless necessary. If you need more storage, opt for the cheapest 2x16GB 3200 CL16 kit available. Otherwise, skip the upgrade.
For a gaming setup on this system, yes. The display is the toughest part because it nearly doubles the cost of the AIO—actual components for the screen are probably just $10 to $20 at most. If you're looking for a white model, I'd suggest the Deepcool LS520 SE WH. If you really need a screen, the Kraken works too.
