I'm aware of just one game that needs more than 16 GB right now, mainly because it's not well optimized. You should aim for DDR4 SO-DIMM memory with a speed of 2666 MHz or higher, a CL latency of 19 or less. Choosing RAM faster than 2666 MHz and with a lower latency won't help since the slowest chip will always limit performance. Using dual channels only works with two identical types, so you'd need two 16 GB units—one 16 GB and one 16 GB won't suffice.
