Hey Tom, I've been working with an Acer Aspire 5 that has 8GB RAM and a 3500U chipset. After taking it apart, I found there are only 2 or 4GB of DDR4 memory left. I have an 8GB DDR4 stick but I'm curious—would adding that into the Aspire 5 give me a total of 12GB of RAM, or would the system just not recognize it? Thanks!

You can examine essential SO DIMM components, which are typically measured in microns and commonly used with laptops.
