This subject falls between several discussion threads, covering a phone, Windows environment, and a Windows app problem. I selected Windows but feel free to relocate it if a moderator deems another spot better. I needed to restore my Lumia Icon using WDRT because it was running an early Windows 10 insider build from 2014 that was extremely unstable—it would crash mid-night on my desk. Now it’s operating on Windows 8.1, lacking support for many jailbreak tools, making OS modifications impossible with Interop Tools or vReg, and sideloading apps isn’t possible. Luckily, there’s an offline Windows 10 update project called Win10oup. I attempted it, which downloads necessary files and installs them, so I used that method. During the update, it reaches the 10% prepairing stage but then fails. I’ve attached the logs; I’ve included all entries except one marked as likely correct. Anyone have suggestions on what’s going on or how to resolve it? Let me know if you need more details.

The error you encountered is 0x801882C1, which corresponds to E_CABINET BTS_E_PER_APP_REQUEST_LIMIT_REACHED. It appears this issue was discussed in a forum thread on XDA Developers about Windows 10 mobile for Lumia devices.

I regret wasting your time; I didn’t refresh this thread since I only made changes on xda. I resolved the problem by reflashing the stock ROM in wdrt and retrying. It’s now working smoothly, updated to version 1603, aiming for the December 2019 release.

It's a Limia Icon 929, model RM-927, white. Probably a Verizon-only version.

I don’t have access to those specific reg edits directly. You might want to check the video content for exact steps or look into the XDA forums for community discussions about the required changes. The older source files could still be useful if you can locate them.

No, you can’t install Windows 11 yet. It’s still in development and not available for purchase.

Not that I know? I don’t know if this is a joke or not, I know some people have installed the windows 11 builds on lumia x50 phones, but those are very different to others. and those are full desktop oses, so it’s not going to be great. I did install he newest possible windows 10 build, though, windows 10 2020-1b, the early January 2020 final security oatch

Oh no, I didn't realize winning in 11 was so tough—it might not be feasible.

It might function, though Windows 11 requires an unlocked bootloader. You’ll need a variant built for ARM, and I’m using an OS tailored for a small desktop screen.
