Budget (including currency): 1000€ Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads it will be used for: AC: Valhalla, CoD, Cyberpunk, all new games Other details ROG Strix z370-F Gaming i7 8700k @ 5.0Ghz OC TridenZ DDR4 Ram 3200Mhz CL16-18-18 MSI GTX 1080 (looking to replace it with RTX 3080 or Ti if its going to be released) NZXT X73 360mm AiO be quiet! Pure base 500dx be quiet! Straight Power 11 850w Hey there! So the new GPUs got released and im willing to buy the RTX 3080 or 3080 Ti if the leaks are correct and its going to be released. The main reason im posting this is that im pretty sure my CPU is working fine with the RTX 3080. There are many benchmarks out there and you are probably loosing like 2-3 Fps in gaming but im not sure if my whole setup is capable for the RTX 3080. I really dont want to upgrade my CPU and mainboard but if thats necessary i'll do it. So my main question is: Can i get the full potential out of the RTX 3080 with this setup?

You can achieve nearly the complete performance from the 3080 in that configuration. What resolution do you have in mind?

It might be slow at 1080p resolution.

8700K matches up with 10600K and remains quite intense. Everything is okay.

Oh no, forgot about the monitor! It's a WQHD from MSI 27", so the resolution isn't the issue. I understand the RTX 3080 can be a bottleneck at 1080p, but with this configuration, you shouldn't run into problems.

You're wondering if running at 5.2 GHz will still work later, especially since some sources say 5 GHz is performing well now. It depends on your device and how it handles different frequencies.

It should work well at WQHD.

Great question! The temperatures you're seeing are normal for high-end GPUs like the RTX 3080. They can reach up to 100°C, but your CPU stays at a safe 60°C with full performance. It's important to monitor both components and ensure proper cooling to maintain stability.

Ensure the CPU remains under 80 for stability. Install additional case fans if room allows.

I already have around eight fans, but they'll drop to seven if the GPU gets in my PC since it's larger than the 1080. Hope the temperatures stay stable once the RTX arrives! Thanks for a great day.
