Hello, when switching to a different motherboard, you typically won’t need to reinstall Windows or the OS unless you’re making major changes. Since your AM3+ board is being upgraded to an AM4 socket, check your new motherboard’s compatibility with your prebuilt gaming PC. Make sure the BIOS settings match and that any drivers for your graphics card are supported. For a first build, focus on stability—avoid overcomplicating things. Keep an eye out for driver updates and ensure your RAM and storage are compatible. Good luck!
You should be aware that if the system doesn't correctly replace drivers, issues may arise. Given the changes you're making, this could be a concern.
I agree with Slottr, think of it as an opportunity to clean up your windows instal. Make sure you back up your data (obviously), if windows is installed on a hard drive this is a good time to switch to an SSD, and after you reinstall windows make sure you get the microcode and other drivers from your new motherboard vendor's website.
