I can change the orientation of my M.2 SSD. It’s the boot drive for Windows 10 and Arch Linux. With only a 250GB drive, an upgrade is likely soon. My M.2 card has two slots (both PCIe 4x Gen 3). Can I relocate it without issues? I don’t want to block the lower slot or lose access later once it’s covered by the GPU. Also, I wasn’t sure if this is the best place to ask since it’s both a motherboard and storage component, but I thought this would help because more people are using it.

You might need to adjust the boot drive in BIOS, though it should function properly otherwise. The performance gap between the two slots is very small because they both support Gen 3. The manual notes that using both M.2 slots turns off two of the SATA ports (5 and 6).

It shouldn't be an issue. And honestly, I'm not even relying on both of them. Ok, that's it.

Consider shifting the SATA port you're using to a different location. The guide doesn't state it directly, but a disabled bottom slot might interfere. The diagram likely expects the top slot to be prioritized first.

Check the port number on your SATA connection. You can also use a tool or command-line utility to identify the port assigned to your device.
