I set up the QX9300 in a Toshiba Satellite P305 S8915. It was powered on for 10 seconds, then turned off. After restarting, the screen went black and the satellite logo didn’t appear. Anyone can assist?

Laptop CPU improvements are generally not available, particularly when the chips differ by several years. The firmware would require compatibility with that exact processor, making it unlikely a full month’s salary worth of support exists.

Verify if your motherboard and chipset are compatible with the QX9300. With 2nd-gen components, multiple chipsets often fit a single socket, each supporting various processors. Also consider whether your BIOS recognizes the QX9300—if not, you're in good shape. What processor was installed?

It's likely Toshiba excluded it from their CPU support due to these characteristics, or they didn't prioritize adding a processor they didn't provide. Will X9100 function properly? The QX9300 had a fried CPU issue.
