Hi everyone, I have a friend who runs a shop in a complex and he’s experiencing weak Wi-Fi with no connection to the router or modem. I’m wondering if there’s a way to improve the signal without needing access to the original router. Do you know about range extenders that can pick up the free Wi-Fi and boost it on their own? A tablet could help test this. Thanks in advance!
It's not feasible without a wireless extender or a physical connection. I suggest choosing a mesh network instead of an extender since performance with extenders is limited. I've used my Google Wi-Fi setup and heard positive feedback about Linksys systems. These options might be available if you have access to the router.
