hello everyone, since the quarantine began I've been working on my schoolwork using a 2011 iMac 27 inch. it's quieter than my main computer and it has an i5 2500s, 24gb of RAM (you know, that's a bit unusual but okay), and a 500gb SSD. my question for the group is: what's the top-end CPU I can install here? including Xeons and all. i should note that regarding heat, anything up to around 95 watts should be acceptable since the i5 reaches about 70°C, but the fans don't increase speed at idle—they stay steady. so it should be fine.
